New Hope Advent Christian Church
of Aurora

In His love, our hope abides

Welcome to New Hope!

Join us at 10:30am every Sunday!

We are a small but growing group of believers, waiting on the Lord. We are glad you are here!

Please enjoy “Blessed Assurance” by F. Crosby. It is a hymn of praise and worship that celebrates the profound peace, joy and certainty in the promises of God.

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31

How New Hope Began

In the spring of 2023, New Hope Advent Christian Church of Aurora was born out of a group of 15 individuals who lost their church home when it was dissolved. These individuals began seeking God’s direction about forming a new church, which could continue the heritage and ministry of the Advent Christian denomination. These people began meeting in a house and were faithful to the house church, worshipping and seeking God’s direction, while at the same time fellowshipping and exploring how to form a new church. Soon they had constructed a constitution and appointed a church board. On March 15, 2024, New Hope Advent Christian Church of Aurora was accepted into the Advent Christian denomination.

When New Hope needed larger space, we prayed and discerned that God was leading us to share space with the Jewish Temple on Edgelawn.  They knew of our situation and wanted to help, welcoming us with open arms.  We meet on Sunday in the multiple purpose room, and the Temple congregation meets on Saturday in the sanctuary.  We have done several joint projects, including a pop-up with the Interfaith Food pantry and now a Thanksgiving ministry, the details of which can be found on our Facebook page.  We have shared meals and conversation and are seeking God’s plan for our church.

We encourage everyone to have a personal relationship with Christ that is formed through prayer, ministry, and a sense of God’s presence working in our lives to grow us to be more like Jesus.

We welcome everyone to come as they are, believing that Jesus welcomed each person He encountered just as they were; then their lives were forever changed.

Come as you are; All are welcome
